I know it's got to be frustrating. I'm very bad at updating this thing, unless it's something spur of the moment, or something that's really gotten on my nerves, and I just happen to be online and able to post at the time.

Honestly, I feel that most of my life is fairly uninteresting, or is filled with the kind of whining that, let's face it, no one wants to read. When I do have pithy observations, I'm usually out and about and only sometimes have a notebook at hand. And I feel very self-conscious writing those observations down. Like I'm being all precious or something.

Anyway, I thought I could attempt to combat the intermittency by inviting you, gentle readers, to give me topics to address. It can be anything, though I do reserve the right to demur. Anything. Got a question? I'll answer it. Want to send me a one-word topic, just to see what I come up with? By all means, please do. I'll aim to post replies to this once a week, and in my reply posts I'll link to this original post, in case latecomers drop by on a reply and want to participate. Also, there's no limit on the number of topics you can submit.

Sounds like a nifty idea? I hope so. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.

I'm bad about updates as well, and for the same reason--most of the time I don't think there's much to say beyond "Yep, still alive, kids and wife still well, still have a job, etc." There was a point a while back when I thought to myself "I need to post more anecdotes and random musings, just to have something to say," but that fell by the wayside. :)

If you want a topic, though, fine--post about your progress on your BBC submission. That way it'll help motivate you. :) And you can harangue me about it as well when I reply, so that'll motivate me in turn.

Ha! Like this isn't predictable: your adventures with Australian food! Whats it like, whats common over there, and what has surprised you.

*hugs hugs hugs!*

First of all, my friend, why is it that I cannot find your posts unless I go hunting for them? I hear gryph mention you have posed, and then do not see the posts on my friends page. Wacky. (I know, it is likely just one of those things)

Next: Seen any awesome Australian wildlife lately? Are the scary spiders as common as rumored?

Any interesting new holidays over there?

What are you doing with your hair these days?

Ding! Ding!

...I dunno why you can't get them! It makes me unhappy to know they're not showing up. I did some poking around to make sure I hadn't spazzed and set something wrong, but everything seems to be correct on my end...maybe I'm just so intermittent that others' posts sweep me off radar very quickly?
