Sorry to hear it, amiga. You're on a PC, right? I'd offer to help otherwise--we actually have a Canon iP4200, which is a Pixma, and it works fine--we got it when we got the Mini a year or two ago. Not sure I have a CD for it, though.
On the other hand, I just downloaded the manual for mine and it has a troubleshooting section in the back--if you tell me which model you have I can download the files for you and then email them to you so you don't have to waste more bandwidth.
